Gabe Durham lives in Los Angeles, CA. He’s the publisher & editor of Boss Fight Books.

A new book, Bible Adventures, is his own contribution to the Boss Fight series. It’s about Christian video games from the early 90s.

His first book, a novel called FUN CAMP, is now available for order from Publishing Genius Press. It was one of BuzzFeed’s “17 Books We Loved in 2013.”

Maybe you’d like to read a bit of it. Here are some chapters. They’re all short:

For contrast, here is a short story that is not about camp: This Doomed Gift Before You. And here’s an accompanying interview.

As a reviewer & essayist, he tackled The President in Her Towers, “Hot Knife,” The Fermata, Jonathan Franzen, Man After Man, Southwest Airlines, “Life is Good Blues,” and “The World Doesn’t Smell Like You.

Gabe’s piece, Wit of Winston made Splitsider.com’s list, The Year’s Best Humor Writing (2010). He later turned it into a video series so he could teach himself Final Cut.

For awhile he edited Dark Sky Magazine. Those issues are archived here.

Before that, he edited Keyhole Magazine, for which he was featured in Nylon Guys Magazine.

For The Rumpus, he interviewed the novelist Chris Bachelder, Jensen Beach, and Maxwell Neely-Cohen.

His writings have appeared in Hobart, Mid-American Review, Quarterly West, Daytrotter, The Rumpus, HTMLGiant, DIAGRAM, The Collagist, Everyday Genius, NOO Journal, Quick Fiction, Nano Fiction, Gargoyle, and elsewhere. His fiction has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and a Best of the Web anthology.
