I am very interested in your recent observations concerning beatles creating music. Perhaps I could work as a volunteer intern and apprentice to the Gather Round Children show in order to see the phenomenon in person.
Is there any chance of a Bill Nye & Matt Highfield GRC spin-off show? Because I would totally listen to that. Not instead of GRC, but probably during GRC.
GRC has jumpstarted many radio careers. There have been successes like “The Show Where Mike Nevarrez Laughs On the Radio For An Hour ” and flops like “Dave (the devil) Staples’ Hour of Terror” (he would bite the heads off of tofu animals for shock value). Of course, the one that immediately comes to mind is the popular late-night cable program “The Reggie Boatman Hour”. Reggie has since returned to the website many times to defend the honor of Gather Round, Children. Hope that helps.
Boy, does it! Five minutes into the RBH, I jumped up, cancelled Netflix, and poured a gallon of milk into the vent on my Tivo, singing “And You’ll Like It” at the top of my voice. “GRC, or it’s not for me!” Yawp! Thanks again, Gather, Round Children!
Hold on hold on hold on. Are you saying… in this review… that Modest Mouse is as good as the Beatles?
No, no. Alls I’m saying is-
Because that is sacrilege, sir. You step into a Liverpool bar, you could get shot for a statement like that.
But if you’d just let me-
After all the Beatles have done for you. For shame, Durham.
But alls I-
Shame.
